What is List Log?
Most checklist apps forget everything the moment you're done.
List Log keeps every run, permanently — so you always have a complete, exportable record of every time a process was completed, no matter how many times you run it.
List Log is a free iOS and iPadOS app for running the same checklist repeatedly and building a permanent history of every completed run. Design a checklist once. Run it as many times as you need. Every run is its own independent, exportable record.
It's built for recurring processes — situations where the checklist itself doesn't change much, but you need a durable log of every time it was executed.
List Log is free to download with no trial period and no subscription. The free tier gives you full access to the core experience.

How it works
List Log has a small number of concepts. Once these click, the rest of the app is straightforward.
A checklist is the reusable design
You build a checklist once — organized into groups, with items of different types (checkboxes, numbers, dates, photos, and more). You can edit the design at any time. The checklist itself is never a record of anything; it's just the template for a run.
A run is one execution of that checklist
Tap Start New Run to fill in the checklist. Every value you enter is saved automatically as you go — there's no save button. When you're done, tap Finish Run. That run is now a permanent, dated record.
Runs are permanent snapshots — editing the checklist never changes them
When you start a run, List Log takes a complete copy of the checklist's structure at that moment and stores it inside the run. If you later edit or delete the checklist, every past run stays exactly as it was. Your records are independent of the design that produced them.
Get help
If something isn't working the way it should, or you have a question about how List Log behaves, use the form below. We respond within 2 business days.
Will editing my checklist affect runs I've already completed?
No. Every run captures a permanent snapshot of the checklist's structure at the moment you started it. Editing or even deleting the checklist afterward never changes any existing run.
My run shows "In Progress" — did I lose my data?
No. List Log saves every value you enter automatically and immediately. "In Progress" just means you haven't tapped Finish Run yet. Tap the run on the Runs tab to resume it at any time.
Why can't I delete my checklist?
A checklist with runs cannot be deleted — the Delete option doesn't appear in the ··· menu when runs exist. To retire it, use Set Inactive instead. All past runs remain fully accessible. If you delete every individual run, the checklist becomes eligible for deletion again.
I already purchased full access. How do I restore it on a new device?
Tap Restore Purchase on the upgrade prompt. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID — it will be restored at no charge.
